Food for thought. I think one consequence that nobody discusses – it’s not mentioned in the article I’m posting here – is that higher regular per-hour wages exponentially increases overtime hourly rates (for hours worked past 40 per week). And from what I’m seeing from my clients (both employers and employees), most employers have already eliminated OT for their workers because it’s become prohibitively expensive.
